Power window rubber bumpers
For the past few days have been refurbishing the power window tracks and cleaning up inside the doors. Gets really nasty in there after a few years.
Anyway, I found a rubber bumber at the bottom of each door, where it obviously dropped after breaking off somewhere.
Problem is, it's not shown in any of my books and Camaro documentation. Anyone have any idea what the replacement item is called and where it goes?

Duck,
I had the same problem. The parts man at my local GM dealership found them for me. I 'believe' they're also available from Classic Industries.

Duck,
It's been a while, but search the bottom of the window track/cam. As I recall, there's a small plate there with a rivet (should still be in place) that held the bumper. I used a Dremel to cut the rivet, then employed a small bolt/nut to fasten the new bumper on. I can't recall the name, perhaps, down stop bumper. I glanced through my file and the only thing that might be helpful is as follows: 16624604 F-BPR-Down. I hope that's not a mislead. Classic Industries calls them Door Widow Stop Bumpers (page 464).

Thanks JamesC,
I stopped by the GM parts dept, the parts guy read the numbers off the part [4767527 AFT 27] and it is listed as "discontinued." The rubber bumper isn't indicated on the GM microfiche. Yes, the 2000 Classic Industries has Door Window Stop Bumpers [G1234 82-92] on Page 378 @$2.32 each. Without your lead, I surely would have gone bonkers, hehe. Thanks again. If you ever get out to Hawaii, the MaiTais are on me...

I find this hard to believe.... I did a search on the word "window" and found 540 topics. Out of the 540 topics I only found 1 topic that had to do with the power window rubber bumper/stopper!
I have a 91 GTA and the rubber stoppers are worn, dry rotted and disintegrated which is allowing the window to travel down too far. I would assume that if I have a late model 3rd gen, I would think this would be a common problem on older 3rd gens as well. I just don't see much info on this nor am I finding much for replacement stoppers either. I think they are discontinued from the dealer. And I can't find them from Classic Industries as mentioned previously in this topic.
Is this not a common problem on other 3rd gens with power windows?? Does anyone have any info regarding replacement of these rubber stoppers?? Thanks!!
