What the hell? Whats going on?

The little vents on the next to the driver and passenger legs, where does the air from there come from? Mine only blows hot *** air all the time! Where does it come from? Id like to see if i can do something about that hot air.. can the vents be turned off or something? I have a/c if it matters..

im not sure on this and someone might want to correct me but i think the heat just comes from the engine or the tranny when they get hot. I really don't know what u can do about it.

I think you'll notice that the air coming from those vents is usually stronger when you don't have the AC or heating system turned on. I don't know exactly why, but if you turned the AC vents on or even the defroster, the air from those vents lessens.

You should also notice that if you change the temperature switch to cool (blue side, duh) it will blow cooler air through those vents.

It's designed that way and mentioned in your owner's manual.

To check it out, turn on your a/c with the lever in the "bi-level" position. You should get cold air at those vents as well as the dash vents. If you get hot air, your
heater valve may be leaking internally.

it is designed to do that, it helps ventilate the engine compartment (as well as other functions I'd imagine). You should have some air moving at least. If you have AC it shouldn't be a problem, if not, put it on defrost with the windows down the hot air will go right out.
