Can fender vents be added to stock fenders?

Not clear how they mount, but I'm curious. Or is there an inner structure to the T/A fenders vs. the regular firebird ones?

Yes it can be done, But you can't just cut a hole and stick them in. They actually sit on a lip as the hole is bent in to make a ledge. The easiest way to do it is to find some T/A fenders and go that route.

If you are going to cut reg fenders for vents, just cut true gill extractor in them like the factory should have instead of using cheesy plastic inserts. That's what they did with the 5th gen I think. Part of my TA resto is eliminating ALL the plastic inserts, pet peeve of mine on these cars.
