almost

got a full interior out of a 84 Z, the carpet was like brand new, the seats are in excellent shape and most of the interior pieces were there when i started stripping.
after putting it off for about 2 weeks, I finally got a few days off and went at it. took me less than a full day to do it. ripped out everything, carpet, plastic panels, center console everything except the dash. I was relieved to find absolutly no rust under the carpet! except for a bit of surface rust it was mint. not bad for an 82 thats seen winter!
anway the interior changed from light grey to charcoal grey and I love it. the carpet went in surprisingly easy and the rest was cake after that.
I'm hitting myself now for not taking some before pics, because i didn't think it would look that much different. I was wrong, it looks ton's better. unfortunatly before i bought the parts car, someone stole the headliner. it was a cool one too. it had a maplight/trip odometer console on it.
so all i got left is to get a matching headliner.

anyone need some light grey interior peices? they are going for dirt cheap, cause they are going the dump next chance i get.

I just did the same thing about a month ago. Changed from tan to charcoal grey and Black from a '84Z. Best move I made yet on my car. Now it looks complete. Also just changed the steering wheel from the one with the box looking horn to the round one. Much better. I just took pics today so as soon as they are developed I'll post. I did take some before pics. Only took 2 adults and one 13 year old fire hours to complete the swap.
