rear seat installation

I have had my back seats out for a year and I forgot how to install the pivot bracket on the back. Does the end with the bolt already in it go into the seat back? Does the marking for R or L show on the top side when it is installed properly? its' shaped similar to an S and I can't figure out which end goes where. thanks Oh, I did search for the answer but couldn't find one.

Hope this helps, but I just looked at my seat, and I believe the ent with the bolt on it goes through a hole in the car and fastened with a 13mm nut.

Thank you so much! Now I can get that seat back in, I didn't miss it that much, it just looks better.
