Body Fix
Body Fix
So Im 17 and I just bought myself an 88 Trans Am that is pretty nice. The interior is great and mechanically its sound. The problem is the body is pretty beat. My right fender is dented with paint missing up and down it, and my front bumper is cracked and has missing paint. My question is where I could find a new front bumper (I already found a fender) and then who I should take it to for a color blend (try not to break the bank Im still a broke 17yo). also a basic guess at how much all this might cost

Re: Body Fix
You may have to look for a used front bumper. Classic industries lists one, but there is a note that says they are being re tooled and no eta at this time.
I know at the pull a part yard I go to, it you take it off yourself a bumper is $45.
As far as the paint work goes, it depends on how much work you are doing yourself.
If you drop it off and have them prep, pain and install, it will probably be $700-1000
If you bring them the parts and they just paint them, it would be more like $300-500.
You may want to call some local shops and talk to them to get an idea of the prices.

Re: Body Fix
As said, no new front bumpers. Classifieds on this forum or eBay.
If you are taking it to a shop for paint, they may be able to fix your old one, not hard if it isn't too far gone.
