What would all of sudden put the rear hatch/trunk out of allignment

Never get into the trunk really I know for a fact it would shut very smooth before.Only thing ive done lately was about 6 weeks ago swapped rear ends for a 9" the coilovers are a little off and was on stands for maybe 2-3 weeks but would that make the hatch off center a bit. Before trunk caught the auto latch nice and smooth now it has a little resistance before it catches like the bar on the hatch sort of grinds before latches and auto shuts (best terms I could think of to describe) Im not one of those guys who slams their hatch shut either always set it softly until the auto latch catches. Oh also I know one lift had blown out but it still worked fine. Any way to realign or set it. Never messed with body stuff. Always makes me nervous Ill never get it straight again. Thanks

Most likely when the support is bad, it bent the hinge. You can bend them back, but they are aluminum I think so they crack easily.

Thanks for the input guys. Went ahead and replaced both struts. Ends up one was good and the other completely dead. They exert a ton of force( hatch is really heavy) and I guess the good one was pushing enough for it to be outta whack. Shuts like new now.
