Does anyone know where the large upper door bushings can be purchased? The lower ones are available but I can't find a source for the uppers without having to buy an entire hinge (expensive). I'm restoring the car and have the doors off so it was easy to grind off the pin rivited end to get the old pins and bushings out. I'll just spot weld or drill & tap the ends to keep them in place after. The door bushing kits in the restoration catalogues I've seen are only for the lower hinges.

 

I'd like to know the same thing. Have you checked to see if a dealership can order them? Or will a pin from another make/model car work?

 

I have custom made third gen F-body upper door hinge pin, and bushing sets.
One set will do 1 upper door hinge (2pins&2 bushings). For $62.40 +shipping ($2.50 or so).

Thx, but still too expensive. I may look into getting some made if cheaper. Do your bushings match the stock ones? If so how much just for them?

 

No my bushing do not match the stock ones. Mine are much better. They are made to aerospace quality.
If you get the bushings made? How will you get the pins? That was the problem I encountered.
