Did any '87 IROC's with factory rear discs, ever come with rear spacers on the back for the wheels? Cuz the bolts for the lug nuts stick out waaay far out of the rim and the wheel looks to be slightly more recessed into the car then the front wheels.

The only F-bodies that came wth a spacer (1/4" aluminum on) were those equipped with a drum bake rear and 16" rims. Check the length of the studs compared to the front. Someone may have swapped on longer ones (as I have) for safety reasons. Some of the 1/4 mil strips like to see the wheel stud protrude from the nut. I'm using the ones that have the black plastic covers, which still fit fine.

My 85 IROC with disk brakes came with 1/8" spacers. My lug nuts seat tight onto the wheel with or without the spacers though. Maybe somebody put extra long studs on your car.

On IROC's equiped with iron drum rear brakes
a .170 thick spacers was used with the 16"
aluminum wheels. Reason was to compensate to
the same thickness as the previously used
aluminum drum brakes. These spacers should be
used to maintain the proper back spacing with
aluminum wheells & iron drum brakes.

The rear end on my 85 IROC has rear discs and the spacers.
