Notchback alignment

Iv read various posts on how to aling the rear deck. I have yet to read anything on how to do it with a notchback deck. Mine sticks out the back about half in. or so. Can i just loosen the hinges and give it a good push to move it forward some? Since this deck lid is one piece, it is really limited on adjustments. Any suggestions?

Re: Notchback alignment

The adjustment is the same for both. The notch is more prone to fitment issues and requires some extra finessing and possibly some body work to get it perfect.

ya, I was looking at it today. It looks good in that it is centered, it just sticks out a little behind the car.

Re: Notchback alignment

Check the gap at the top of the notch to the top of the car...if you loosen the bolts and push the hatch in, that gap gets smaller..it's one of many problems with my notch..

Re: Notchback alignment

I can stick my index finger in the gap all the way to the middle knuckle.

Just loosen the screws and push?? thats easy.
