Body ID Sticker painted over. How to remove paint.

I need some advise guys. How do I remove the paint so that I can see what the sticker has? Aparently the body shop where PO took the cam rod it care about the sticker. Thanks.

I don't think it can be done without ruining the print behind the paint.Maybe you could remove the label and the info on the label can be seen from the back of the label,not sure,and you could send it to shop that reproduces those labels. Just a thought.

Not good. I'm just courteous to see what's in that sticker. Everything about my IROC is a mystery. The RPO sticker was faded beyond recognition, body plate/tag missing, and the sticker painted over. On top of that, last week I found it that the camaro was stolen in 1986 in Los Angeles County.

You can get new ones made if you can figure out what they need to say...if you're friends with someone at your local Chevy dealer, they may still be able to look up all your RPO's based on your VIN.

Unfortunately compnine.com only goes back to about 1990 or so.

No dice on the rpo's. I tried that long ago. They told me that I would have to pay the GM Archives to get a photo copy of my camaros factory paperwork.
