My heater/ac control light went out and I'm trying to remove the plastic trim around it and the radio. What's the trick? Got the screws out and the top is loose, and it slides from side to side, but can't get the bottom off. The radio doesn't seem to be in the way either. I'm scared it's gonna break if my ignorance persists....help someone!!!Thanks

 

You got all 4 screws around the trim out? Try going ahead and pulling out all the screws for the ashtray/shifter plate, that may give you a little more room for the bottom of the plate. I know mine gets stuck on the bottom of the radio so I have to lift the raio while leaning the plate forward from the top until it slips out. Good news is if you break its easy to replace. Good luck.
