Aero Spoiler separating along leading edge...fixable or new spoiler?
Hey all,
I've got 88 style wrap-around aero spoiler on my 84 TA. On the front side of the leading edge... the part that is on the back of the hatch, not the side parts..the 1/4" wide leading edge portion is cracking/separating. I can literally see into the inside of the spoiler. Is this something that's fixable or am I going to have to replace the spoiler?
I'll post some pictures in the morning but I"m really worried about this. Just when I thought I could leave things be for a while...blam, something stupid like this pops up.

a "Get you by" fix would be to get some f-26 from lowes and stick it back together if he gap can be closed.
the frame inside these wings were un prepped and when the rubber around the wing shank enough and moisture can get to the frame its over. mine was split on the back over the tails and eventually the inside rusted to a point that separated everything and I took it off.
finally spent the money on a HAWKS wing and im glad I did. nice piece and much easier on the hatch struts.

I tried useing 3M Black weatherstripping to seal up mine,it did work for awhile but I ended up buying one from Hawks. You have to be patient doing it,little 3M glue at a time and clamping it together each application

Mine was cracking under the passenger side, almost the whole side. I temporarily fixed it with duct tape until I could find a replacement. Well the duct tape started giving away about a week ago and I was going to get more duct tape to fix it back up. Well I waited to long and it caught the wind and took the whole wrap around part of the passenger side off and now I can see into the spoiler. I wasn't a happy camper when it happened. Looking to get a 4th gen spoiler in the next few days, I like the look of those better.
