what are my options with ground effects??

I have an 86' sport coupe and I want to put ground effects on it I know I have to change the front and rear bumpers but which years could I swap the stuff from onto my car without any modifications? Could I just change the bumper covers or would I have to change all of the impact resistant stuff or whatever that stuff is behind the bumper covers also? what years would be a direct swap? I like the 91-92 Z28 scoop style ground effects and I like the 85-87 Z28 aggresive style ground effects would these work? I'm open to any opinions or suggestions you all might have
Thanks a whole lot everyone.

Its not worth it. If your car is in good shape enjoy it for what it is. The GFX are a PITA, the front rubs on driveways, bumps, etc. They're expensive unless you get lucky. The 91-92 pieces are even harder to come buy and even more expensive. You'll have to drill MANY holes, you'll need attachment points that would have to be welded, etc. If you really want a car with GFX, pick up a Z28 or RS, they're a dime a dozen.

I say do what you want to do to the car.You wouldnt have to make any modification to the car.The only part would be the side ground effects, thats where you need to drill holes into your car.If you like the look then I'd go for it and I have done this myself.Since there are never any Z28s,or RS's for sale around here in south polk county, then I have to make it look like I want it to.

the bumper and front end are direct boltons, you don't have to change the rebar or anything like that. for the rocker gfx, i've heard you need to weld on a mounting strip, or else the gfx will sag. i'm in the process of doing this to my 87 camaro lt. i have everything but the lower front spoiler. i found the rear bumper and the front end for $100, and all the side gfx for $40.

Too bad you're not in Daytona at the Turkey Rod Run. My dad is selling a whole 91-92 GFX set for butt cheap.

As for the side ground effects, any of them will work. I have TransAm gfx on the side of my Camaro, which is still one of my favorite mods to date. I may even put the TA ones on my '88 IROC when I paint it too.
