should i paint rims?

after i finish adding gfx to my car, i'm getting it painted. i also found some iroc rims to put on it. i was thinking, how would it look if i polished the surface of the rims, then painted the insets red to match the body? i found this pic of a blue iroc that did it, i don't think it looks too bad.

I kind of like the look of the rims that are painted a body color. Unfortunately I do not think it would work well with my yellow though, so i have not done it.

I would suggest Powder Coating your rims it will last alot longer and is alot more durable. (I hope I spelled that right)

Have to say I agree with the simple, nice silver look...

Your getting it painted red right¿ Well if it looks as good as this go for it. BTW I just used some paint stripper on my rims to get the plastic off and they shine like a mirror. Dont use sand paper it will only get you in a bad situation.

how does this look?

*EDIT* the rims are highly polished, even though they kinda look gold. i added the red accents to match the car.
