panhard and trailing arms

instead of purchasing new aftermarket ones i was wondering if anyone has done the poor mans modification and if they did how it worked out....cutting a piece of metal and welding it in to the open end of each bar the full length so in essence you have a box rod/arm when done.

I've done it. There was improvement.

When I lowered my car I changed over to all aftermarket toys.

I think you are on the wrong board.

I personally haven't done it, but i would assume it would work pretty well. Try posting this in the suspension board.

Competition Engineering sells pre-cut steel boxing plates for the LCA's.Only $20.Seems like that would be easiest, as all you'd have to do is prep the arm, weld them on and stuff some new bushings on 'em.Should be great bang-for-the-buck mod, if you weld them yourself.
