Pretty sure this door is now wasted. Roughly how much money is a replacement door? This is a 1982 Berlinetta with manual windows and locks.

What can be done here? This just happened to me tonight.

When I got to my car I saw this. Apparently some drivers have forgotten how to use parking spaces. No note or anything.
Can't even afford a new door right now. Santa... please?

 

Yup, that door is toast.
There aren't any repros, so start hitting craigslist. Any door without gfx will work, you can swap the stuff from your door, but easier if you find one with manual windows.
I've sold doors for $100-150

 

Fortunately they didn't hit the quarter as well.
Find a new door here in the classifieds, local Craigslist, or the wrecking yard.
Prices will fluctuate from around $40.00 at a Pick and Pull style yard to over $100.00 from a private seller.

 

was the parking lot at a chain store (like walmart) ... if it was, have the police go ask for video and see if you can catch the people and make them pay for it to be replaced and color matched, at least go in and ask the people your self if they have video, and ask anyone close by ... you could get lucky

 

As someone that is involved in loss prevention with a major chain, I can tell you odds are slim you will get any vid without police involvement. And if they're anything like police in m town they won't do a whole lot. We had to make threats of legal persuit to the chief to even get them to come out and make a report on a hit and run in front of my house on a rental car a few years back.
