Rear Cargo Area Panel Rattling Fixes?

The rear plastic panels in my 88 GTA rattle like crazy among many other mystery rattles in the rear cargo area. How many of you also have this problem and how do you solve them?

I'd just take the panels out make sure no clips are missing and put it back together.

All the threaded plastic inserts that the large trim screws and trim pins push into can be replaced rather easily. Typically they're either missing or badly damaged. Both the inserts and trim screws are available from the dealers for $.50-1 each.

Really! Thanks, I never knew the dealers would bother with such a small cheap peice. This is really going to help because the white plastic peices that the trim screws into are badly damaged and I can't torque the plastic trim screws down worth beans, thanks!

GEt some cheap *** foam like the kind for your bed or pillows and stuff it in between thsoe panels as well. I did this to remove hatch noise.

Yes replace the plastic mounts for the large plastic screws fro the HELP section of the auto parts stores. Also use Goop asdehive on the panels to keep them from rattling. Apply it both to the back side and the interference points. I've used it on the center console and air vents (in the door B-pillar). Do a knuckle rap test on the panels to find the rattles. I also used Dynomat on the inside of the metal panels.

Buy some one-sided sticky foam weather stripping. Like what they include with some speakers. Works great.
