Lower Door Skin Rust Question

Transmission: 4 speed Muncie
Axle/Gears: 7.6", 3.42 or 3.73:1 most likely
Lower Door Skin Rust Question

Has anyone had a rotten lower door skin and used the repop lower door skin? I want to do that in the future but I want to see how it looks and how proper the flanges are Etc. If anyone has just post the pics here please

thats the only picture I could find

I do have a bit of rust inside the door and very very slightly underneath as well. Nothing dramatic but I should probably take care of it (sanding, POR15ing it, etc.)

It's not that hard just try to install it as close to the bottom of the door as you can the higher up you install the panel the greater chance of warping the panel I always try to use full skins if available

My door looked similar. I cleaned it as best I could inside and out. Then I used POR 15 and filled it with fiberglass and filler finally etching primer and paint. Worked great

yeah that's what I did too. I cleaned it, but I welded the strip of rusted area with new metal then used fibreglass over it. It didn't come as clean as yours but hey, who looks under there anyway ;P
