Re: floor pans
I'd go with POR15 personally. Heard nothing but great things about it.

Re: floor pans
por15 does its job but frist you need to repair the hole if you have a welder or know someone that has one that would be the best way to fix it or you can use fiberglass and top coat with por15

Re: floor pans
stick welder will not work. Your best bet without welding would be to buy the POR15 floor repair kit.

Re: floor pans
fiberglass is not the best way to go but if you grind around to hole and apply some kitty hair that is fiberglass grind it down smooth and then you can apply a coat of truck bed linning or por15 you will need to seal it on top and bottom if you did it this way it will last for a long time since its a small area

Re: floor pans
Any automotive paint supply will have both the kitty hair and a por type product. Most likley wont be the brands from the eastwood site but no waiting or shipping cost. Make sure you take care of the rust first so it won't continue to rust under your repair. They also make tiger hair for the great big holes. As always read the labels for instructions. This could save you some headaches down the road. Good luck.

Re: floor pans
Cut some small sheet metal squares, big enough to cover the holes and have some around all sides. Clean all surfaces (sounds like you already did that). Coat the side of the patch that is going to contact the floor pan with a rubberized undercoating, stick in place, and pop rivet to the floor (or weld, if you have one of those handy. Follow up by spraying some undercoating on the the underside of the floor pan.
Worked for me, but to each his own, mine is no show car or anything.

Re: floor pans
Mine were much worse and I cut out and welded in all (well most...) the patches and then use chassis saver (por15 like stuff). I then top coated that with truck bed liner.
I say most of the patches. After welding was done and while prepping to do the chassis saver I found a couple more sub-dime sized holes where the surrounding metal was still thick. Instead of breaking out the welder again I made up a steel patch, prepped it and chassis saverred it over the hole (use the chassis saver as a glue). No way those small patches will come off, does not matter how much I pry!
I would not use this technique for anything structural but it worked great for a small hole with good metal around it. I would expect the same results for por15.
