Welded lock box in trunk area...
Alright, so we've got that little i suppose glove box in the rear of the car. Anyone ever try or actually welded in a little lock box in its place. I was thinking of replacing the cheap *** cardboard with a lock box and welding it to the side there. Then I'd be able to unlock the cover and then unlock the box under neath, so I could keep my gun in the car, where I like it.

I was thinking about rigging up a little hidden locked box like that in the wheel well.. Only problem is what can you weld it to? All the metal in there is thin sheet metal.. Thats why I haven't done anything like that yet too much of a PITA.

One possibility would be to make a box that would fit in your area & instead of welding it, take some self-drilling & tapping screws & screw the box to whatever you want. Just don't go thru the quarter panel (obviously)
