Gauge Questions

1)Has anybody put the Xenon bright blue bulbs w/ the regular 92 dash? Does it improve the looks?
2)I know some of the needles are clear with orange bottems. Does the 92 have this?
3)Are MacGuen gauges worth it or should I make my own. I have checked in the archives and opinions vary.
Thanks

if you looked around here you'll find nothing but good words for Macewan. However you could probably do it yourself for a lot less. I tried once but faild miserably, had to get a new gauge cluster.

If you buy a set of Macewan, do me a favor and scan them before you install them. Making your own is easy and fast, but no one has templates for 91-92 moon gauges yet.

PS: I spray painted my back piece, the one that is blue, silver, much brighter now. Also painted inside hyper white.

What about the needles? If I sand them down on the back side, what color will they glow with the bright blue bulbs?

To get the color off the back side of the needles I took a X-acto knife & scraped the paint off. then took a magic marker & painted the back side black. gave it a few layers. A paint marker would work too.
