how to repair front valence on front bumper
I am repainting my car and want to do it right this time, and my front bumper needs some attention, especially the valence. I'm talking about the "ground effect", very lowest part on the bumper.
I was talking to a body guy and he said it is made out of a plastic/rubber composite, which allows it to flex. It seems like if it is meant to flex then bondo/fiber glass would crack under the repeated stress of flexing. I know spot puddy/glazing is soft and is going to allow some flex; to me it seems like it would be better to use than bondo.of course of its softer maybe that means it will crack even easier. Other downside is it can't be put on very thick.
Maybe I could somehow reinforce the valence so it doesn't flex, or at least much less, then use filler?
I appreciate the help!

Don't even think of using glazing putty or body filler. Use a flexible repair kit such as the one linked above. There are other brands available also. I use 3M. None of them are cheap, but they are necessary.
