How to remove sounded deadener and POR15...
I am building my car from the ground up.... again.
I used a lot of Dynamat and FatMat on the interior, as well as POR-15 on the undrerside. Used one coat in the inside as well.
I have every last bolt out of the car, minus the hatch, motor and tranny left to go.
Once those are out I want to start to strip the car down to metal to fix all the patchy work I did at a teenager (I am 30 now). I want to smooth the firewall and wheels wells. I also want to remake the rust patch pannels I had made before.
But to get to all these things I need to remove the sound deadener.
What is the best way to do this? Heat gun, time and maybe some sort of miniral spirits after?
Any suggestions?

Try using dry ice and a hammer, Dump the dry ice on the floor board then start hitting the floor with the hammer, not hard enough to dent the floor also a chisel once the sound deadener start to chip up you can get under it with the chisel and hit on it to pop it loose.
