Hey guys, it's been forever since I last posted. I have a 1987 GTA and am looking for the correct matching paint to touch up the gold lettering on the headlamp emblem. Is there a plastic enamel paint that's a close match?

 

Are you talking about the "PONTIAC" emblem on the front top of the headlight door??if so,weren't they all Chrome.

 

No, gtas had gold trim.

 

My 87 TA had the gold Pontiac... And since that car is wrecked, and I like the silver on my blue car, I might still have it. I know I took it off when I was dismantling and it was in good shape. I can check if you want...if I have it, Ide let it go pretty cheap probably.

Im sure you can find paint that will match. Check the thread by Luis...he just refinished his wheels, and gives some paint info. That paint would probably look nice on there. I cant remember what exactly they looked like...metalic, flat, chrome...

Thanks for the link, but I was hoping to keep the costs down. My emblem is in good shape, it just has a few tiny paint chips I would like to touch up.

 

As it turns out the gold paint (52P) is no longer available from GM. I'm going to be heading to my local Lordco to see if they'll mix me up a bottle of touch up paint (hopefully the cost will be less than a new emblem).
