Hey guys. Just thought I would make a post with some color information about my car. I bought the car about 16 months ago. It is a 1990 Firebird Formula 350. It is kind of a teal color which I knew was not the original color but it looks good so I never thought twice about it. I started doing some looking last night because I got curious. I found out that it was originally Gunmetal Metallic. I thought very cool there. After reading some tech articles I found out that that was a very rare color in 1990, 255 Formulas in that color and only 52 were Formula 350's. So it would seem that what the car used to be was pretty rare, lol. I do really like the color of the car now but I really would like to return the car to it's original color some day. My first car I owned was an 87 Formula with an LT1 swap in Yellow Gold and I kick my self regularly for selling it. It took me years to finally find the right thirdgen Formula and I hope to return it to it's original color. I will attach pics of what the car looks like now as soon as I can. It's a very nice car but knowing it's supposed to be Gunmetal has set a new course for it. I'd love to see some more pics of gunmetal birds for reference.

It's unlikely I will paint it myself. Wish I could but I have never prepped a car to paint or painted a car so I will leave that to someone who knows what they're doing. The body is near perfect, it has one tiny dent on the whole car. Gunmetal is a color I really like anyway so to get this guy back to what it was meant to be will be awesome.

The car is missing the aero wing too, it's got the 82-84 TA wing so that will be added too.

Does anyone know where I can find some gunmetal formula pics? Would love to see some.
