He-man strength need to open door?!
Hi everyone.
I recently painted a passenger side door
And put it on my car, it looks nice,
But unfortunatly it seems the door is almost held up to high because
It is very, very hard to push off the striker.
The door had pins put in but that was afew years ago from thes
Previous owner i am wongering if its possible to loosen that striker
On the door jam and maybe move it down a bit,
If so how would i go about doing this, and do i need to remove the speaker
Box and do something from behind.
Thankyou

There's a vent in the door jam to access the back (phillips head screw iirc), but you may be able to just loosen the striker via the Torx hole in the center.

Instead, the door itself is most likely to blame for the condition you are experiencing. I would recommend using a door alignment tool to align the door by lowering it until it clears the striker bolt properly. Also look at the condition of the door striker bolt. I just replace mine because they had some grooves worn into them by the latch. After the swap one of my door started to hang up as slighlly. I lubed it with some silicone spray and it allowed the latch to rotate more fully and the issue was solved.
I sell the door alignment tool. It is a great investment to solve the alignment issues with the door (assuming that the upper and lower door pins are in good shape). Test that the door pins are in good shape by lifting on the bottom of the opened door and releasing. If you have movement, then start there. Look for movement at both the upper pins and lower pin.
