tiny holes in trunk

I have spotted two tiny holes close to each other in the very bottom of the rear cargo area.
The area does not show any signs of rust however.
Could these holes be there from start so that any water inside finds a way out?

Re: tiny holes in trunk

If i recall there should not be small holes. There should be one large one in the center and that is it. More then likely PO was having hatch leak issues and decided to drill a couple of holes to allow water to drain.
