Wiper Delay and New Wiper Motor
So, with all the restoration work on my 92 RS I decided to put in a new wiper motor since the old one is getting up there in age and I had to replace the wiper blade transmission bushings. I bought one on EBay that was supposed to be brand new GM in the box for a 92 Camaro. It was as described relative to being an original new GM motor (including electronics module). However, after installation, it works in all ways except the wiper delay portion. Has anyone encountered this before? Would it be as simple to fix as pulling the old electronics control and putting it on the new motor?
Thanks...

Re: Wiper Delay and New Wiper Motor
Ok, since no one seemed to have an answer, it was time for experimentation.. I decided to just swap the cover with the electronic circuit board.. The one I took off the new motor does not have any electronic components soldered into the board. My old one is populated with electronic components.. I swapped the old board and cover onto the new motor.. Success, I now have my delay wipers working again....
The old motor was part number 5049129 made in 1992 and the new one was part number 22085819 and made in 1993.
5049129 with delay wipers
22085819 without delay wipers
Just closing the thread with the info I found in case it helps someone else....
