fiberglass hood...

Hello All,

Just picked up a WS6 hood for my '91 RS and have a couple of questions.

1. It is a mount on hood using stock mounts. Do I need to purchase different hood lifts/shocks since the new hood is so much lighter?

2. Should I use some sort of heat shield on the underside to protect the fiberglass?

Thanks for any input.

Re: fiberglass hood...

I dont know if yours is as heavy as mine but I used the original hinges because the ones for fiberglass were too light. I didnt use anything on the underside.
