Where are you located?

Have you looked on Craigslist locally?

All I can find on Craigslist and eBay are aftermarket hoods with 2-6in cowls.
I'm looking for the OEM flat hood with no vents or cowl.

I have two for sale locally on craigslist. Not sure where your from. I have an original Iroc hood from an 86 Iroc, and I also have a functional fiberglass SS scoop hood. Im letting them both go cheap. 75.00 for the Iroc hood, and 150.00 for the fiberglass SS hood. Both are in good shape besides very light surface rust on the iroc hood

I look in 4 local yards and only round 1 3rd gen, but the hood was warped and cracked at the hinge area.

Not many of these 3rd gens around.
Yards only want 2000 and newer cars

I would try to find one at a boneyard if you can. Got one for 20$ for a project a couple months ago. Might have to drive a little, but would still be way cheaper than new.

Re: Hood replacement Help!

I haven't seen any OEM steel repro hoods in person, but I seriously doubt it would be any better quality that the repro fenders we all know and hate.
Keep looking on CL or the classifieds here for an original hood. Might have to be patient, but shouldn't be that hard to find. Shipping us a big consideration on a hood so you'll need to find something in driving distance. Add location to your profile so we can help.
