rear seats
rear seats
I posted this before, but i guess it got deleted with the message board mess, so ill post it again. Has anyone taken there rear seats out or replaced them with diff seats, or subs or anything that would give more room. If you do take them out what does it look like, or what can you replace it with? thanx
I have seen a camaro show car with the rear seats out. he had a custon speaker box built. i was forsale on ebay like a year ago. i would leave th seat in they are quite light wieght and look good. and some time it is nice to be able to fit more then one other person in ur car. here is a pic of what the car look like. maybe some one has a pic of the box.

Basic answer to your question. If you have a 13 mm socket and a wrench it's simple. Only 4 bolts total. On the bottoms just pull and you can feel where the are bolted on the front. Take off the 1 bolt for each seat there and boom! putting them back in is a pain though but u can just set them down and they hold well. The back is a bolt and each corner where it is mounted. Same wrench, and it's out. They bolt back with no problem.
I just turned 17 and did this when I was 16 and i didn't look for instructions. Undo all the bolts you see. My first time ever taking a seat out of a car and it took me about 30 min to swap all the seats for some leathers.

My 87 i took the seats out for a custom box with 2 12's, but never finished the install totally... if you arent going to put people back there as i never did, it is a good area to do some 'creative work'.
