Trans Am Ground Effects on my 89 Firebird?
Hello everyone
So I'm starting to put some money into my firebird.
I've bin looking around at other members cars and I really love the trans am ground effects.
I would like to purchase some for my firebird
Would they be fairly easy to install?
Are they simple to find, or hard to come by?

I your looking for 85-90 Trans am GFX then Fairly easy to find. You will need to drill quite a few holes though in the doors, rear quarters, fenders. There is also a support bracket that is under the rocker ground effect. You will need that also. Its spot welded and screwed to the Trans am. Front and rear bumpers area direct bolt on

I agree with most of the above except you may find the front bumper cover and front fender gfx hard to find in decent shape.

Classic Industries has the complete set of bumper covers (front and rear) and all the ground effects. They even offer some of the brackets. Though you will probably have to source the support that's welded to the rocker panel. Gonna look around on the web for a bit. Might get lucky and find one. I believe the rocker panel support off the iroc is the same thing as well.

I haven't seen what repop classic sells for the front bumper cover, but the only one I've encountered wasn't very good. It was curved inwards on the front face and didn't fit on the support bar very well. I won't buy any repop body parts for a third gen u til someone shows me they are any good. Most of them are terrible.
