Re: 84 bumper cover repair?

I have messed around with this before. In fact my whole front bumper was deformed. I had to put it in the HOT sun so it got soft and pliable. Then I made a jig to hold it in its straight position. It was a lot of messing around. There should be a thread here with pics. (You can make a tent too and put a heater under it.)

If you want the front spots(left/right side of emblem) to stay up, You will have to make some supports from the headlight rack to permanently hold them up. The sun/hot days will make it sag again otherwise.

(edit) Make sure its good and soft and go super easy when straightening. Otherwise you may get spider cracks. They will be deep and into the plastic deep. Only way to fix is to sand them out or I know there are plastic specialists out there, Last I heard was around 200 bucks. Those 84 bumper/chin are hard to find in good condition arnt they...

good luck man.

Thanks, for the info. Yes they are hard to find without paying the same price as a new one.
