I'd like to know before I buy one I found on Craigslist. My 89 bumper is in desperate need of replacement and I've been searching for a while now(I'm not fond of paying full price at somewhere like hawk's) for a cheap bumper and all I have found so far is an 82-84 Z28 bumper and GFX. If I were to get it I'm pretty sure I'd have to get the turn signal lamps that go with the bumper.
And personally, I like the look of the 82-84 Z28's more than the later model bumpers. I'd much rather see the bumper go to someone who actually has a 82-84 Z28, but the ad has been posted for about two months now anyway.
Any help or opinions would be great.

Thanks, and that brings up another question, would I really need the correct absorber also? Or would I be able to use the absorber from my 89? Maybe with a little modification to it?

 

Yes, & you'll need the items mentioned, maybe even the absorber on the impact bar too, which is riveted on.

I think the area around the signal lights is a little different, but give it a try with yours.

 

Get the correct absorber, safety first and the bumper cover will sag without support
