Has anyone have any luck removing and installing a door skin? I'm looking for some direction with this...i have a huge dent in the driver side door and i've found some door skins to replace it but i'm wondering how difficult of a job is it.
Its not a part that simply unbolts, the old skin must be ground and chiseled off of the rest of the door, then the new skin glued on, wrapped around the old frame, and pounded on with a hammer and dolly. Keep in mind that the edges of the old door must be straight or you're not going to be able to get the new skin on. It looks like your old door is bent on the edge. Also that picture isn't for a 3rd gen door, make sure you order the right one. If you can buy a complete used door somewhere thats what I'd do.
