T-Top Replacement Channels for Camaros and Firebirds
To everyone who messaged me regarding my new roof channels, and for all those who have rusted out channels that need renewing, this is who to contact for a set.
Re: T-Top Replacement Channels for Camaros and Firebirds
They helped me out. I posted a couple of pics in another thread and my inbox went crazy with interest. They really are essential for anyone restoring one of these cars. My car now has a lovely finish with the tops out and a tight, leak free roof when they're in.
Re: T-Top Replacement Channels for Camaros and Firebirds
I ordered a set. $97.57 at that days exchange rate for Front and Rear Rails + Shipping UPS to my east coast location $45.62 = $143.19 and Yes from U.K.
Otherwise in British Pounds is 68.55 quid per set + shipping

has anyone else ordered these, how is the fitment, do they have a web site!!!
The fit is flawless. After clearing my rusted channels out of the way the new replacements just dropped right into place. My bodyshop took just under two hours to get the job done, and by done I mean sealed and primed.
I'll post a pic after I have my car painted.

They're welded to the body. The sealer is there to prevent water ingress. It's what the guy who installed them recommended. He used a black windshield type of sealer.

Stupid auto correct I ment Bondo. In the last picture you posted where the channel meets the car. It looks like Bondo that's why I was asking.

Update: Pricing is $115.63. *note* this is being shipped from the UK. So, shipping to the US via UPS, is $47.00. The picture they show has the spot weld holes already drilled. The kit is called MAGNUM CK110957. If anyone is interested, PM me your e-mail address and I can forward the e-mail to you.

Re: T-Top Replacement Channels for Camaros and Firebirds
Hate to bump an old thread, but has anyone purchased these recently? Just tore into my roof and my channels are totally rotted out (along with some other parts of the roof). Really would like to get my hands on these rather than fabricate them myself.
UPDATE: Got in contact with Chris, the guy who makes these. He's super timely and responded within a few hours to my email, even on a weekend. With the current exchange rate, they came in at $137.99 + $54.10 shipping, just under $200 to my door. He can get them to you about 7 days after he starts them (with whatever additional time in between depending on his workload, my case 5 days). Probably looking at about 3 weeks door to door. Well worth it IMO to have a quality piece that's ready to weld right in.
I'll be sure to post up some photos and progress pics of the job. I have quite the horror scene in my roof right now, I'll start a thread later tonight.

I haven't popped mine off yet - BUT, it looks like the majority of the issues with these channels are the lips rusting away. You'll probably have some surface rust to deal with under the channel. KNOCK ON WOOD - if my metal underneath is OK and doesn't need patching/replacement...my prep/finish plan is:
-Grind away surface rust, coat with weld-thru primer (along with a full weld-thru primer coat on the channels themselves)
-After welding everything in, prime and paint overtop the channels
-Run a bead of seam sealer along the edges (against the channel/roof) to prevent water from seeping in there

Update for anyone looking for these. I was able to get in contact with Chris the owner. He says that there is a few more sets in stock. The set i ordered will be shipped tomorrow, and ill update when I receive these in the mail. Price has crept up to 250.00 US
Re: T-Top Replacement Channels for Camaros and Firebirds
I went down the T top rabbit hole and ended using the tracks from UK which was excellent fit and function.
You start out thinking that just the rubber seals need to be replaced, remove them and find the rust and holes in/around the tracks on these 30+ year cars.
It took me 3 months to eradicate all the rust from the T tops and wind shield pillars.
If you get into it as far as I did, one recommendation is not to use RTV to seal between the tracks and body. RTV will not last the heat expansion/contraction from summer/winter months.
Go old school as I did and fill that area with lead based solder melted into the joint, far superior to RTV.

I was wondering how this worked for you. I am thinking about ordering a set. Just curious about the fitment and how long it took to get them. Also is it 2 pieces or 4.
Re: T-Top Replacement Channels for Camaros and Firebirds
I finally got around to ordering a set for myself.
The channels... well... they crossed the channel to get here (pun intended, UK delivery to Germany) and they were perfectly packaged to survive the transit.
They cost me about 230 Euros including shipping and are well worth it.
Also, I was kept me in the loop every step of the way and I really appreciate that.
Highly recommended.

Re: T-Top Replacement Channels for Camaros and Firebirds
You just send him a polite email (autofabricationdesign@gmail.com) and ask him for a quote for the 82-92 t-top replacement channels for Camaros/Firebirds and he'll know what you mean.
You will then be informed about the current price, how long it will take to make the channels for you and how to pay for them.

I don't think there is a website mentioned - the ordering process is as NCC-2569 stated.

Re: T-Top Replacement Channels for Camaros and Firebirds
I received my channels from Chris yesterday. These will definitely help. I couldn't see myself being able to form these channels.
One thing to comment on...
The lips are no longer being formed as shown in the pics of earlier posts. Chris said those versions were some of the earliest off the line. He had to retool, resulting in lips that are "V"-shaped. I told him I was concerned about how well the new seals would fit, given how reproduction seals seam to be pretty crappy. He doesn't believe there would be a problem.
Re: T-Top Replacement Channels for Camaros and Firebirds
Just got a price for fabricated channels from Chris. They are now $213 + $94 shipping. He says trumps tariffs, the war in Ukraine and Israel have raised shipping prices. That's a little steep for 2 pieces of bent metal. Went to the junkyard and found a good donor car and paid $20.
