best place too buy new emblems.

I'm getting my camaro painted and all my emblems need to be replaced, who has the best quality emblems? I looked at hawks, ebay, rickscamaro, and classic. Looking for some advise. Also I need new door panel water shields, but having a hard time finding new ones besides ebay. Anyone know where I can find some?
Thanks

Re: best place too buy new emblems.

Hawks was a good choice.
For the door panel weather shield, I personally like the idea of replacing it with a thin sheet of black roofing rubber. Comes on a roll, and deadens allot of door noise. I havent done it to my thirdgen yet, but its on the to do list

Are you talking ice and water shield for roofs? The only problem with that is it stinks like asphalt in heat. Hawks had the door shields also.

Lord no, that would stink to high heaven. The stuff Im talking about is just black rubber. It doesn't have a smell to it at all. Ive had the same roll for years and have used it for everything from tool box drawer liner, to lining the doors on an old pickup I sold. Thats how I knew it worked well.

Doesnt matter though, originals or replacements from Hawks are good and do the job.

This is the stuff you need, but I would look to your local hardware stores first. I know it can be had cheaper. I dont remember where I bought it as it was probably 10 years ago. Ive used it for allot of different things and can vouch that it definately helps with road noise. Main thing is dont get over 1/16th or it will be too thick...

Re: best place too buy new emblems.

Its primary use is for flat roofs. We put up a sun room and bought it is how I came to have a roll of it. Its not sticky, doesnt have a smell to it or anything like that. Its literally just a thin sheet of rubber. If your like me it will wind up everywhere in your garage from everything from tool box drawer liner, a sheet under the car to protect the floor from oil spills, to keeping the dog a warm spot on the garage floor...lol

Yeah, that rubber is for flat roofs. You can pick it up at any home depot or lowes or your local roofing supply stores.

Re: best place too buy new emblems.

I received my emblems from hawks today, they come in a nice case and are really close to the originals. Just a slight difference in size of the middle block of the letters. But over all a really nice piece.
