Got new TTop Seals, now?

Ok, ordered new drip edge from Hawks, but ripped old rubber seals during disassembly... Received new rubber seals ones from Hawks in pics....I see that do not have the tabs that stick out of the slots.. But the groove for the metal channel it slides over is there.... Question... My old ones were glued in... Should I put adhesive under these rubber seals? If so, the 3m ribbon type JohninRI

posted in my drip edge thread, or another type? Cure time?

I only put a small dab of a sticky 3M product on each end by the screws to help hold it in place.
