T top locking mechanism

I have these old t tips on my 86 camaro now that need to either be repaired or replaced. A buddy gave me a set of t tops that are close to new, but the only problem is they have a hook latchin mechanism while the old ones have pins as the locking mechanism. Is there any quick conversion to allow the hooks to fit in place? Or do I have to find different ones/ fix the old ones. Any advice helps!

It will be a lot easier to just buy a different pair or to restore the old ones. The glass will work for all thirdgens but it will be a pain to separate the glass from the rest. Especially when you can get a set of tops for like $40.

Or you can replace the latches under the puller posts on both sides. I had the same
problem I might have a couple of pairs in my shop if you need them.
The latch mechanism I think are not as safe as the rod. Friend of mine lost his
Top on the highway was not latched properly.
