Could i use the rocker moldings, door pieces, and rear spoiler off of an 84 trans Am with Aero gfx on a 84 Camaro? I didn't mention the front spoiler because i know its different, but the other pieces appear to be the same. Would this work?

 

Yes. I have '85-'90 style TransAm gfx on the doors/rockers of my Camaro. The brackets will probably be different than the Camaro ones, and mounting holes may need to be made in different places.

 

Cool! the car currently has no ground effects or holes so I have a clean slate to work with.

 

Be sure to use the Camaro gfx piece on the rear of the quarters, to be sure that they match up properly to the rear bumper. I'm not sure if the '85-'90 piece is the same or not for matching up to the '91-'92 style bumper, as the bumper itself is slightly different. If you are taking the gfx off of the Firebird, be sure to get all of the pieces, as some brackets may be discontinued. Also note how everything attaches (some spot welds may be necessary to do it right), and take measurements if possible.

 

The 84 T/A gfx are shorter than almost all the other GFX offered on thirdgens. Also since they're one year only they're in some demand to people with 84 T/A's. If all the panels are there and in good shape you'd be further ahead to sell them and get Camaro panels.
