window molding problems (pics)
window molding problems (pics)
got more problems, good thing i got a dig camera for christmas!!!!

you can see the black piece that has raised higher and no longer seats with the window, i can push it down, but it will keep coming back up after a while, i thought maybe the window was set too high, but if that was true then it would stop when the window stopped, should i jsut try to get this piece somewhere like a junkyard?

Easy Fix, my 89 Formula did that.
Get some of the GEL super glue (not the liquid!!!!)
Put 1-2 small drops where that piece mates with the other both on the top (on both sides of the "triangle") and on the "track" where the rubber meets the plastic. DO NOT PUT IT ON THE SIDE BY THE WINDOW!
Roll your window down 1/2 to 3/4 of the way.
Tap that peice back down using a rubber mallet or the palm of your hand, unless of course the window takes it down.
Let it set for 20-30 minutes and your all set.
Mine never moved after I did that.

If the glue method doesn't work, try getting some front window guide moldings from a '92 F-body.
GM redesigned this part to be "one-piece" for '92. Instead on the two piece part (rubber insert and plastic molding guide assembly) like the '82-'91s, the '92s have a one piece rubber guide assembly that's all one part.
The only reason why I mentioned this is because I was surprised by this "change" myself in the '92MY F-bodies.
Generally speaking, that rubber molding piece is a pretty snug "press-fit" into the plastic part requiring very little if any adhesive to hold it on. Maybe the channel that it slides into is broken or split inside. You might want to check for this before you actually glue it on.
