Rear wheel well bead trimming

I have just finished a mild mini tub install. I couldn't go very deep because I plan on installing RideTech's rear bag over shock setup so my wheel depth will be set by the diameter of the bag over the shock.

I have about 13" total from new inner fender wall to rear wheel well rolled lip.

I am trying to fit 12" C6 GS rims running 325s or 335s not sure yet. Either way I need about another 1/4" or maybe even more.

I have read on here of some guys trimming the rear lip on the wheel well, just in the center, to gain that last bit of clearance. They then use automotive grade body epoxy to seal up the two layers of metal at the seam trim area.

Car will mainly just going to shows.

Anyone see any issues with doing this?
