rear bumper differences and fitment

I have an '85 Firebird. The rear bumper cover has a chunk torn out of the upper corner:

Now, I have come across a a bumper cover from a Formula, I do not know the year yet. Will this work on my '85? It looks 'flat' whereas my original sticks out.

Thanks in advance.

this is perfect information. Thank you. I wonder what changed in the later years. Just curious now.
