Could you order a thirdgen with ground effects the same color as the car's body?

I typically see ground effects on thirdgens that are an accent color to the body of the car. Were most thirdgens painted this way? Was it possible to order your car with ground effects that matched the body color?

Most third gens I've seen had them matched to the body like my brothers 88 iroc and two friends respective 87 irocs. Both my 84 rs and 88 rs also had color matched. Accent colored ones just looked better

Serious question? Uh, all Iroc's, RS's, GTA's, are monochrome. Accented GFX were a requirement on early Z28s until 88, and the Trans Am until about 85. Monochrome paint was optional on the Trans Am until about 1990, then it was standard til the end of 92 production. The 88 Camaro sport coupe was the last Camaro with silver or gold GFX.
So that's probably not quite 50/50 since popularity peaked between 84-87, but it's still a lot of cars.

Sorry - guess I should have been more specific. I was mostly wanting to know about early ones - like 82-84. I have a 1984 TA.

82-84 for the most part you had silver or gold GFX, with some notable exceptions.
