Steering Column Problem
Hi guys.
I had the loose bolts in my tilt column, so I tore it down and tightened them up with Locktite and reassembled, but because the pin removal tool broke off in one of the pins, I had to remove the column. Now I'm trying to put the column back in and have run into a problem:
I get the column flush against the firewall on the inside, but it barely inserts into the steering shaft under the hood. I mean just barely inserts. What do I do?

Re: Steering Column Problem
the steering shaft extends. pull it onto the column at the joint near the booster. may take some effort.

Re: Steering Column Problem
Shaft was collapsed. Had to undo the rag joint and take it out to extend it again. It's all back together until my astro shaft gets here.
