What kind of retainers are used to hold the front bumper cover to the car?
What kind of retainers are used to hold the front bumper cover to the car?
I have been googling for hours trying to find a picture or specs on the types of clips to no avail. If anybody has the specific size or style or name of the clips or retainers that are used on the built-in bolts that stick out of the front bumper cover of a 1989 Firebird Formula, I would greatly appreciate it.
Re: What kind of retainers are used to hold the front bumper cover to the car?
Solved: the rivetted studs that are affixed to the bumper cover are not designed to have any nuts that mate to them. The bumper cover is held to the fenders by two (2) u-clips and bolts and those 4 (four) rivetted studs only serve as guides when putting the bumper cover back on the car.
Also, on the bottom there are seven (7) plastic push-in clips that affux the bottom of the bumper cover to the bumper.

I gotta say it's one of the best purchases i have made for my Firebird.
