OER Rear Firebird Spoiler?
Does anyone have any experience with the wraparound rear spoiler available from OER, p/n 12397143? I've only found one post after doing a search.
The consensus here is that Hawks has the best ones. The appearance is much closer to the original than the one offered by Classic Industries, from what I've seen on photos here.
BUT, I have a chance to pick up an OER spoiler from Summit Racing in Tallmadge, Ohio while I'm on a road trip in a few weeks, thus avoiding shipping charges which as you know are high. I've already called Summit to verify they won't pass on freight charges to me.
The photos / illustrations on the OER website look identical to the original factory spoiler: http://www.oerparts.com/product/1989.../12397143.html
Can anybody verify that these things are a decent product?

GT, nothing yet but I'm going to go with the one from Hawks. My wife will be out near their shop next spring and will pick one up direct, avoiding the shipping costs...

I've yet to hear anything good about anything sold under the OER name. This looks to be another addition to the list.

The hawks one is better.
I have the OER one and.. it sucks. Holes in the wrong spot, bad shape, etc.

Sent my OER back, holes for third light were 3in off center of spoiler and there was a third
hole for some reason. I would like to hear for some one that has installed the (New after market) RS160 from Hawks. Thanks GT

A guy on my Formula group has one and had no problems with it. I'll try to remember who that was and send them this way.

Re: OER Rear Firebird Spoiler?
i bought the HAWKS wing and its a nice piece. the spears are more pointed than others iv seen and all of my bolt holes lined up. i didnt use the little clip things, i did the screw and slot method and its been good for the past 5-6 years.
the only thing that sorta wasnt right was how the wing sat on the hatch when the 3rd brake light was in place. without it sits right but with, it raises the wing up a tad. if the rear most mounts were a bit longer this would allow it to all line up.
BUT, with that i was still able to bolt it down and it still looks great. an OCD purist would pick up on the "slight" rise where the brake light is but its very livable.

Yeah, I would not have noticed anything going on around that brake light. But I appreciate you mentioning it...one more thing for me to watch out for when I install mine.
