i was wondering how hard is it to install a door skin how long should it take someone who knows what they are doin?and what should it cost?
hasn't anyone ever installed a door skin or had someone put it on for them?

it pays 12 hours in the body shop business and it takes about that long if you are a fanatic at it.
that includes cutting and positioning, welding and finishing.
and the skins are about $150 or more.

It was worth doing back when the cars were new, because it was cheaper than buying a brand new one, and you couldn't find them in wrecking yards, or if you did they cost almost as much as new. But now that parts are easy to get, you are miles ahead just getting a nice one from a salvage yard.
