Hood does not close on one side plz help
Hey guys,
My 92 camaro RS won't close on the driver side. I tried to adjust the hood latch but no good. I don't know if I should replace the hood hinges because they are from two different vehicles. Also could the hood be bent and should I get a new one? Plz hep thanks.

Re: Hood does not close on one side plz help
My car recently put a dent in a Honda, so my latches are a bit tweaked and I have to throw all 100 pounds of me on the hood to make it close
Pics would really help, why are the latches from 2 different cars? If u replaced them u may have bent one out of alignment, I'm pretty sure that's what I did to my car while replacing the fender

I forgot why I replaced the hood hinge. I believe that it was cracked or broken. The vehicle had rear ended some one years ago but it was at 20mph. When i close the hood im still able to move the hood down a little and when i push down the middle of the hood the right side limes up.

Post pictures of the hood open. Of the hinges, where the hood sits, the bottom of the hood, both sides where the fenders bolt on.

Hood open would be great, something looks misaligned or out of place lol....

Seeing how the front end took a punch, I'd first confirm that whatever the hood is bolted to is "straight".

I think your replacement/drivers side hood latch is misaligned a bit, look at your factory latch on the other side-you see those 2 holes? they're lined up with each other perfectly. Try messing with the replaced latch a bit and see if u can't get it to shut right

Your air cleaner/ chrome air filter is too tall not allowing your hood to close all the way. Remove it and I close the hood and report back.
